We do GDPR compliant websites.

We implement everything needed to ensure full GDPR compliance for your website and online business.

What is GDPR?

The GDPR became law on May 25th, 2018

GDPR states that if a website collects, stores or uses any data, personal or otherwise (data that can be used to identify a person) related to an EU citizen, then you as an online business must comply with the following:

  • Tell the user: who you are, why you collect the data, for how long and who receives it.
  • Get clear consent from users before collecting any data
  • Let users access their data and take it with them
  • Let users delete their data
  • Let users know if data breaches occur

Personal data can only be kept for as long as it is required for the initial purpose and must be protected in accordance with the new rules. Both the controller and the processor are required to “implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk”, including data encryption or pseudo-anonymisation (“the processing of personal data in such a way that the data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information”).

The European Commission have provided this helpful info graphic, illustrating exactly how to stay on the right side of data Protection Law.

Not following these guidelines will eventually result in a fine. Up to 20 million € or 4% of your annual turnover – so quite a bit of money.

Our solution

All of our projects are delivered with the required components to ensure a complete online GDPR compliance. Just like mobile-optimised design (you know by now that all of our websites have a special, simplified version for optimal display on mobile devices), and just like using only the latest technology in the creation of websites – the properly implemented GDPR standards have become an integral part of our work and is included by default in all of the websites we deliver.

We also provide GDPR implementation as a separate service. That is, if you already have a website (presentation website or online store) and you just want to make it GDPR-compliant.

On-site GDPR
We create the entire range of special pages required by GDPR, informing the user about your terms and conditions, privacy policy and other important details that are connected to GDPR. These are done professionally and are the result of many hours spent by our team in partnership with known law offices. We use SSL certificates and encrypt all data exchanged between the client and the server. We ensure high-grade security both on the server side and in the technologies we use to build the websites.
eCommerce GDPR
For eCommerce websites, implementing the GDPR standards is a lot more work, because web stores deal directly with the user’s personal data on all levels, from the first visit to the website, to the last steps after completing the purchase. We make sure the clients legally agree with any further communication from your company. We also use checkboxes and notifications that require the consent of users when sending messages or placing orders.
Cookie usage
We use cookies in a way that is perfectly in accordance to the GDPR regulations, from the small details captured on-site, to the more complex data used in social media integration and the spam-protected online forms and subscription modules. We detail and inform the users about the personal data stored in cookies. We allow them to request the complete removal of their data. We use intuitive methods of displaying cookie information in popups which the visitor must agree before continuing the visit.
Our happy clients can vouch for us

During the past decade, we have delivered an impressive number of successful projects – from presentation websites to highly complex online shops and bespoke eCommerce solutions, as well as myriads of SEO tasks and online marketing campaigns – all of them GDPR-proof.
